See a video of the 2016 event
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd September (TTRCA event)
Museum & marquee GTG followed by evening dinner. Old Town Farm,
Knightcote Road, Bishops Itchington, CV47 2SL.
To remind you of the show please take a look at the video that my
daughter Amy made at the last event. If that doesn't spur you on to
coming then please read on.
The museum and show will be open from about 09.30 on Saturday 22nd until
around about 6 pm and from about the same start time Sunday 23rd until
an early close at 2pm.
This year there are 10 working layouts running on
Saturday and 8 on Sunday, 3 of which are from our friends in Europe.
Including a UK Minitrix N gauge display and layout. There will be over
150 feet of sales tables with 13 traders offering all ages and quality
and price range, including of course, the excellent TTRCA spares service
from Martin and Penny Drayson. Plus John Brown with the latest versions
of red replica boxes and correctly printed labels. And from Holland,
Stefan van de Poll will be bringing his international series of train
set insert replicas, for all shapes and sizes both pre WW2 and post WW2.
Excellent food at subsidised prices is available
all day both Saturday and Sunday at the rear of my house, by the museum,
cooked by my daughter Jess, with her friend Naomi (she was helping at
Middleton Cheney in March) in the kitchen. Sitting, under cover
accommodation for diners is available close by.
The evening dinner on Saturday night is a wonderful
social get together at a traditional UK Pub where 60 people will sit and
eat quality food in the company of like members from all over the world.
This year I already have 52 reservations for the dinner out of an
extended 60 places due to high demand. 2016 was 54 total and a few
Dinner at The Merrie Lion (NOTE NEW VENUE) is from
19.00 on Saturday night.
www.merrielion.co.uk Nigel and Daphne at the "Lion" will do
everything possible to make us welcome and it is possibly even easier to
travel to the Lion from the show and museum than the previous pub.
Parking is limited in the pub, but there is plenty of street space.
The venue is within 3 miles of junction 12 of the
M40 by the village of Bishops Itchington and will be clearly signed from
both obvious directions by familiar large yellow signs with the word
TRIX and an arrow in blue showing the direction. CV47 2SL is the Satnav
code and there will be a large TRIX sign at the entrance to the show.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, as are small children.
