BANBURY

2014

David Wood watching the trains in action on Geoffrey's layout, including Warship diesel, E3001, EM1 and Western diesel.

As usual, John Hopkinson had his custom repaints on view. John recently bought this bargain box of Trix for just £17 that included 4 Bassett-Lowke wagons and a prewar Pytchley ...

It's probable that the original owner had bought the four Bassett-Lowke wagons in 1942 after seeing this advert in the 'Model Railway News'...

Colin Lindley's AC layout was in action all day, and included superb Manyways stations.

This is very rare. It's a case featuring items from the 1959 Trix range of products. A Trix representative would show this to toy shop owners so that they could place orders. There's even some order forms in the lid. The Birds Eye Conflat wagon is interesting as Trix didn't produce these in grey, only red.

And here's another rarity. It's a prototype of the Class V. Note the different valve gear detail.

A  new TTRCA special wagon on sale: Colman's Mustard.
