Trix Express Diesel Flyer with Distler motor

Information from Franz Nowack about Gewis products (diesel flyer above, and electric BoBo below). These models have bogies, motors, wheels, and couplings like the Trix Express 20/58 Diesel Flyer from 1937. But most other parts, including the loco bodies and coaches, are made from plastic and are of lower quality.

Bakelite rails are similar to Trix, with similar contacts, and can be used with Trix track. Underneath there is no numbering or lettering and the straights are 3 mm shorter. Points were made with a bakelite base designed for a solenoid but it was not fitted, instead a small knob for hand operation was installed.

Of very similar construction to Trix, a Gewis passenger train
