bargain box of Trix for just £17 that included 4 Bassett-Lowke wagons and
a prewar Pytchley ...
It's probable
that the original owner had bought the four Bassett-Lowke wagons in 1942
after seeing this advert in the 'Model Railway News'...

Colin Lindley's AC layout was in
action all day, and included superb Manyways stations.

This is very rare. It's a case
featuring items from the 1959 Trix range of products. A Trix representative
would show this to toy shop owners so that they could place orders. There's
even some order forms in the lid. The Birds Eye Conflat wagon is interesting
as Trix didn't produce these in grey, only red.

And here's another rarity.
It's a prototype of the Class V. Note the different valve gear detail.
