BANBURY
2009 |
Trix wooden
buildings and Coal Conveyor were part of the vintage scene.
|
A view from
the other side of the layout, showing 0-4-0 locos and tank wagons.
|
Eyes down for
a browse of the goodies on David Johnson's sales table.
|
Unusual box
labelling: Trix used an obsolete Whistling Coach box for a Britannia by
sticking a new label on.
|
Work in
progress: an attractive 2-6-2 tank 'home made' from a WR 0-6-2. The
cylinders and driving rods are from an
AC 0-4-0.
|
Not quite as
attractive, but interesting nevertheless, a very old hand made loco using a
Trix 1935 mechanism with disc wheels.
|
Trix DC was in
action on David Holt's layout. This shot shows 6 different liveries of the
plastic bodied tank wagons.
|
There was plenty on sale
during the day. Here's one of Dixon Upcott's bargain boxes ...
|
... and here
are two more, 'Pay What You Like' and a £2 bin. There was also a 'Free'
box with controllers and transformers for the taking.
|
TTRCA members
John Wigglesworth and Keith Jones obviously enjoyed the day.
